We recently toured some of the Dodecanese islands, and our visit to Patmos we stayed at the Skala Hotel.

The Skala is a great hotel just a quick stroll from the quayside at the port where the Ferries disembark, entered via an arched tunnel from the main harbour road which leads through to this delightful private courtyard, pool area and bar. Patmos has almost no natural water (in fact fresh water is delivered to the island by regular tanker ship) so of course this pool is salt water, not fresh.

We photographed this panorama using the Nodal Ninja Ultimate R10 Business kit. Our technique was to take photos at 90º intervals, giving 4 points of the compass for a full rotation.

Images were stitched with 'PTGui Pro' and then published for web and mobile viewing using the Pano2VR software to produce the panorama above in both FLASH and HTML5 formats, with this page scripted to present the correct version depending upon which platform/browser/device you are using to view.
